T-Ball League 

This is a learning and recreational league. Participants will use T-stands to hit from and a soft rubber ball. All games are weather dependent and will be cancelled due to rain or wet conditions with no make ups. There are no practices. If your child is 6 years or older they would play Little League (See community Sports Leagues).

Ages: 4 & 5 years - girls and boys 

Dates: Thursdays, April 27 - June 15, 2017

The first week we will meet for pictures only. Come meet your coaches and teammates and get your team t-shirt at the Old Central Jr. High Gym on Main St.. You will be mailed your team information and what time your pictures are.

Location: Arnold Park, Andrews Rd. 

Time: Thursdays - 6:00 - 7:00 PM all games

Cost: $35.00 Residents, $45.00 Non-Residents

Free Supervised Fitness Room

Get back into shape or maintain your fitness level this Fall/Winter by visiting the supervised weight room at the Vestal Sr. High School, Woodlawn Dr. This program is free and open to all High School students and adults. Registration isn't required. Drop in anytime! Equipment includes: stationary bikes, nautilus, free weights.  

Enter the High School through the front doors, per school rules.

Field Hockey League 

September 7 - October 22, 2016    2017 TBD
This is a recreational, instructional program where participants learn all phases of field hockey. Skills include: dribbling, passing, stick work, offensive and defensive moves and shooting. All players (grouped by age) meet twice a week, Saturdays 10:00 AM - Noon and Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Wednesday sessions for skills, Saturday sessions for skills, scrimmage and mainly travel for games. This year most Saturdays we will be participating in a series of mini-tournaments with other field hockey programs and traveling locally. The tournaments run 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Vestal hosts one of these events.

Ages: 5 - 12 years (K - 6 grades)

Location: Vestal Middle School, S. Benita Blvd.

Cost: $40.00 residents, $50.00 non-residents

Add $20.00 - if you want a field hockey stick
Add $30.00 - if you want goggles

Goggles: Goggles are required for all 5th and 6th grade participants. (They are highly recommended for younger players, but not required) If you would like to order goggles through us, then add $30.00 to the program fee or you can get them on your own. One size fits all.

Shirt size: The games we play against other youth programs are normally played in October. You may want to consider a t-shirt size large enough to wear over a sweatshirt.

Volunteer coaches needed to help run this league. Coaches must be fun loving and have a sense of humor. No previous field hockey knowledge or experience required. We will teach you the basics at a pre-season clinic. Also, since all participants meet together, you'll always have experience to draw upon. There is no cost to be a coach and we provide a free T-shirt and loaner stick. Use Act. #420301-1A to volunteer coach.

Free Teen Basketball 2016

Tuesdays and Thursdays
September 13 - November 3, 2016    Vestal Middle School, S. Benita Blvd., Vestal
Closed: Sept. 15

Supervised skills and "pick-up" games for boys and girls (9th - 12th grades) at the Vestal Middle School.  Girls play
6:00 - 7:00 PM and Boys play 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Program is free and registration is not required. No program when schools are closed for holidays, weather or other school functions, check for updates or look on the calendar. 

Vestal Youth Basketball Organization   2017 League

VYBO is a comprehensive basketball program open to boys and girls ages 8 - 11 years. Every player, regardless of ability, has an opportunity to play and enjoy the game. Participants will learn a new skill each week, as well as play games. No practices when school is closed, early dismissal or no after-school activities. 

January 7 - February 18, 2017
Registration cut-off is Friday, November 18, 2016, unless the league fill prior to that date.
Practices start the week of January 3 and will be once a week. Day, location and time will be determined after teams are formed.

Kids Night Out  
Wednesdays  

March 8 - April 5, 2017

This program is a recreational league, where participants will play a variety of games. A director is there each week with all the equipment and to lead the activity. Each team will play once a week. Weekly games include: T-Ball, pillow polo (soft hockey), relay races, scooter races, kickball, with a pizza party on the last night. Open to boys and girls.
