Fire
The Vestal Fire District encompasses all of the land within the boundaries of the Town of Vestal, approximately 53 square miles. The department operates under the direction of the Town Board, which makes up the Board of Fire Commissioners.
The department is lead by a Chief and three Assistant Chiefs who, along with the Captains and 1st Lieutenants from each of the department's four fire stations, make up the Fire Advisory Board. The Fire Advisory Board is responsible for the day to day operation of the 145 person department.
