Father Daughter Ball - canceled 2021 due to Covid-19

Vestal's Twenty second Annual Ball - we hope to be back in 2022!!

Doors open at 5:00 PM for photos and dinner is served at 6:00 PM

Cost:  $50.00 Vestal Adults, $35.00 Daughters
Apalachin residents : $60.00 Adults, $45.00 Daughters

Dinner:  The buffet will include Santa Fe flank steak, breaded chicken fingers, maple soy salmon, gourmet macaroni and cheese, whipped potatoes, glazed baby carrots, salad, and cookies and brownies.

Fathers and daughters, join us for a wonderful evening of dinner and dancing. All seating is assigned and tables will hold a maximum of eight. We will do our best to honor seating requests. Only complete tables of eight, that register together, are guaranteed. Fill out a registration form from the menu on the left and mail with fee to confirm your reservation.  List all the names of the adults and children that you wish to be seated with on the registration form under "table requests". If you do not have a seating preference, leave it blank and we will seat you with another family.  All ages are welcome.  Limited tickets available. Open to Town of Vestal and Apalachin Residents only. Activity #FD-01.

Enjoy hunting for eggs by age group and visiting with the Easter bunny. Bags are provided.  In case of inclement weather (rain) check this section for any updates or call the Recreation Department at 607-754-3368.  Be sure to dress warm and wear boots!  The park is always very wet and windy. 

Water Carnival

Splash the afternoon away as the pool turns into an aquatic wonderland!
Activities include: lifeguard target toss, obstacle course, soda dive, silliest dive, balloon toss, baby pool activities, musical DJ and much more!


Vestal Town Picnic

Activities Include: Large inflatable rides, games, water slide, Zoo Mobile, edible art, face painting, shaving cream hair-do's & musical DJ.
Delicious food: hamburgers, hotdogs, salad, pizza, water, soda, ziti, nachos, and ice cream are available for low prices.
Free entrance to the picnic again this year due to another generous donation from Vilma Byrne.  In return she asks those attending to consider bringing a can of cat or dog food for donation to a local animal shelter.


Monster Mash Halloween Party

For a howling good time, join us at our 23rd annual Monster Mash Halloween Party! Put on your costume and join us under the spooktacular tent at Arnold Park on Andrews Rd. in Vestal. Festivities begin at 1:00pm and run until 3:00pm. Free treat bags for all children! Be sure to take a turn through the "Tiny Terror Hay Maze", have fun on the inflatables, and play the other games and activities! There will be free "Spider Cider" and "Deadly Doughnuts". Open to all ages. Remember to dress warmly as all activities are outdoors. Registration is not required. See you ghosts and ghouls there!

Pumpkin Run

Students must provide their own transportation.
The Vestal Recreation Department in cooperation with the Vestal High School Cross-Country Team is co-sponsoring a one mile pumpkin run open to boys and girls in the Vestal School District. The race will take place at Arnold Park on Andrews Rd., Vestal. Interested participants should register in their PE gym class at school. The run will take place on Monday, October 21 at 4:30 PM. In case of rain: the run will take place on Wednesday, October 23 at the same time. This program is free. Free cider and doughnuts will be provided. Pumpkins will be awarded to top place finishers. Ribbons for all!

Mark your calendars for Vestal's Annual Family Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long and Christmas Tree Lighting. Have fun singing with the Vestal Community Chorus. The evening will end with a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus at 7:00 PM. 

SANTA'S MAILBOX 

Santa would love to hear from all the boys and girls in Vestal! Write your letter and Santa will send you one back. Ask him a question and he will answer it! Santa's mailbox will be located on the front porch of the Recreation Office located at 516 Front St., Vestal, from Saturday, November 21 through Saturday, December 5, 2020. Due to the large volume of mail Santa receives, he cannot accept letters after December 5. Don't forget to write your first and last name and put your address somewhere so Santa knows where to mail his response.
